International Women’s Day

Give to Gain

Today (8th March), we celebrate International Women’s Day.

For the past 115 years, International Women’s Day has been marked by people all around the world to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about discrimination, and take action to drive gender equality.

Having recently marked Women in EV Day, Greenwheel Electric is always happy to platform the achievements and success stories of the women on our team and across the clean energy transition. We asked the women of Greenwheel for some comments on what it’s really like to work in the EV sector:

On joining the EV sector:
“Don’t let assumptions hold you back. If you’re passionate about sustainability and making a difference, the EV sector welcomes you.” — Martha

On shaping the industry from the inside:
“It’s an exciting sector to be part of. There’s a real opportunity not just to build a career, but to help shape how the industry develops as it matures.” — Kirstin

On why diversity of thought matters:
“The sector is strongest when it reflects a diversity of voices, perspectives, and experiences. Without that, we miss out on valuable insights and innovative solutions.” — Cecilia

On showing up with confidence:
And our favourite reminder from Martha: “I belong in the room. My perspective has value, and that’s reason enough to use my voice.”

Here’s to all the women helping drive the clean energy transition forward. When we give, we gain. Together, we intend to continue emphasising the need to share our expertise by collaborating with local communities to expand our offering.
